Sheung Wan is a gateway to some of Hong Kong's more traditional and residential neighborhoods. It's a place where you'll find modern buildings standing alongside run-down tenements, and everywhere you look, shops that sell dried seafoods.
What I like about the area is that it's not overrun with expats like Central, where after a walk around SoHo or Lan Kwai Fung, you feel more like you're in New York than anywhere in Asia.
