A Visit to Aberdeen

My co-worker brought be to Aberdeen on the southern side of Hong Kong island. There we went for a boat ride. Our fearless captain was about 100 years old, but she guided the boat through the harbor nicely, giving us a little tour of the area.

After the boat ride, we went back to her house to have dinner with her family. She, her parents and her brother live in an 800-square-foot apartment. I thought it was pretty tight quarters until she told me that their old apartment was only 350 square feet and that another sibling lived with them there too.

Despite the lack of space, the view was amazing and so was the food. Some of the best fish I've ever eaten, steamed with ginger and soy sauce. And delicious garlic shrimp. It was pretty amazing.
